Click on the above thumbnails to see a build in progress. In this example, the brick at the corbelling and to the top was in rough shape. To extend the life of the chimney we removed and relaid new brick without the corbelling. We also installed a concrete cap (with drip edge) and also installed a new dummy flue tile. We used an Ontario size Shell Tex brick to closely match the original brick. The mortar is a type "N" and should almost match the original after it completely dries in 1 - 2 days.
